Nevada could be getting its first veterinary school

Roseman University of Health Sciences in Nevada has submitted a letter of intent to the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education to begin planning for a veterinary medicine school. The proposed College of Veterinary Medicine would be at the university’s Henderson campus. “Our goal is to create a veterinary program that is not only academically rigorous but also deeply mission-driven,” said Dr. Katherine Fogelberg, who has been named by the university as the founding dean to lead the development of the proposed program. “We want to train veterinarians who are equipped to serve all communities - urban and rural, pets and livestock, locally and nationally.”
