Petco hops into rabbit adoption

The decision follows discussions with animal rights groups, including People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), which praised the move. Benjamin Thiele-Long, who oversees communications for Petco, said: "We're helping find homes for the thousands of rabbits already looking for loving families across the country." To further encourage adoptions, Petco is offering a 20% discount for new rabbit owners who adopt through established rescue groups until the end of October.
