Call for U.K. dental fee probe
U.K. finance minister Rachel Reeves has called on the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the U.K.'s principal competition regulator, to investigate private dental fees amid concerns over high costs and a lack of transparency. A recent study found that private dental costs have risen significantly, with some treatments increasing by over 30%. Reeves said: "The scourge of hidden costs . . . has blighted families in need of dental treatment for too long."
